The local Karpathian cuisine attracts a lot of visitors every year who are captivated by the amazing flavors of the traditional delicacies.

Makarounes is a famous traditional dish that you should definitely sample. It is pasta made with flour and water and its flavor is truly unrivalled.

Karpathos is famous for its psilokouloura which are bagels covered with sesame. In the past, they were offered at weddings along with sugar coated chickpeas.

If you are looking for a special dish that you cannot find anywhere, we recommend anterizia. It is made with intestines stuffed with a mixture of rice, pork meat and various spices. Their flavor will definitely fascinate you and awaken your taste buds. A Christmas dish that you will see on the island is pihti. It is a local delicacy made with pork meat, meat stock, various spices and lemon juice.
